Playing It Safe At Wears Valley Zipline Adventures

Posted on January 1, 1970

Our Pigeon Forge zipline tours are lots of fun for most ages, but for us, safety is always the name of the game. Our number one goal is to make sure our guests have a great time but to do so while ensuring that everyone is well protected throughout their experience.

For starters, we make sure our guests meet our minimum age and maximum weight requirements and that no one is suffering from any serious conditions that could be made worse by riding a zipline.

Next, our experienced guides get you suited up in all the necessary gear, including a sturdy harness, leather gloves for braking and a safety helmet. Then, our guides demonstrate the proper and safe way to ride, steer and brake when on a zipline run. They also show you all the hand signals and commands you’ll need to know to make sure you don’t arrive too fast or too slow at the end of a line.

Finally, both guides are with you every step of the way as you make your way through our seven-line course. One guide crosses each line ahead of everyone else, and the other always brings up the rear. So there’s always someone on each platform to make sure that all guests are standing in the safest place possible.
