Getting clipped onto a zipline trolley and launching yourself into the wild blue yonder is pretty exciting in and of itself. But when you visit us at Wears Valley Zipline Adventures, keep in mind a few of the following tips to help you get the most out of your experience.
• Dress appropriately – Jeans are shorts are both OK, but when it comes to footwear, we recommend staying away from flip-flops and sandals. They're likely to wind up at the bottom of the valley. And keep an eye on the weather so you can wear clothing that's best suited for the day's temperatures.
• Consider leaving glasses and hats behind – Again, they could fly off your head when you pick up a head of steam on some of the longer zipline runs. If you do choose to wear either, do so at your own risk, but make sure they're firmly positioned on your head.
• Pay attention to your guides – They're looking out for your safety, so carefully follow their pre-trip instructions, and follow they're commands when you're out on the course.
• Open your eyes – Ziplining can be a little scary for some, but don't forget to open your eyes and enjoy the sights along the way. It's not every day that you get to see them.
And remember that when you're ready to have fun on a zip line, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville can't offer the scenery and long lines to be enjoyed at Wears Valley Zipline Adventures.
